Guide of driving in snow gear
When you are all dressed up in your warm winter gear heading out the door to go snowboarding, it might be important to know how to drive in snow gear. It is a lot of work to get all those winter clothes on. For those of you who prefer to dress for snowboarding at the luxury of your home instead of at the slopes, here are some important tips to remember when driving with snow gear on.
- Don’t wear your snowboarding boots to drive in. It is best to wear your shoes to drive in and put your boots on once you have reached your destination. It is almost impossible to drive in snowboarding boots, they are very stiff.
- Place the heat of the car on low or have it off completely. You will roast to death with all that winter gear on and having the heat blast at you. It might even be necessary to crack your window for cool air. Snow gear is really warm.
- Put heavy gloves on when you get to the slopes. It is not necessary to wear these items driving and they are fairly easy to put on when you get to the slopes. If you need to, bring a pair of lightweight gloves with you for the drive. However, gloves usually only make you sweat more while driving.
- Keep jacket unzipped. Jackets tend to be bulky and hard to move in when in close quarters. If you must wear your jacket while driving, leave it unzipped so you can move easier and so it won’t be so warm.
Remember, it is possible to drive in snow gear, but it is not recommended to do so for very long distances.
